Academic Honesty
A high sense of personal honor and integrity is expected of all students in the completion of ND CDE courses. Course work is intended to prepare and educate students and is to be completed without cheating, plagiarizing, or knowingly giving false information.

Tests and final examinations must be completed in the presence of an approved supervisor who must certify that the test or exam was completed without the assistance of books, notes, or any other outside resources.

The consequences for academic dishonesty will be determined in consultation with the ND CDE teacher, the student's local supervisor, and the ND CDE principal.

Unit Tests and Final Examinations
Open-book testing is prohibited. Students are to complete unit tests and final exams without the use of books, notes, or reference aids. All exams must be taken under the direct supervision of an approved supervisor.

Final examinations are mailed to the supervisor when all course work has been completed and received by ND CDE.

A student who fails a course may enroll in the course again, and at the discretion of the ND CDE teacher, may either redo all the lessons, tests, and the final exam, or retake all tests and the final exam. Repeat of unit tests and the final examination of a course is allowed only with a new enrollment in that course.

Honor Roll
The North Dakota Center for Distance Education seeks to honor those full-time students who excel in their academic studies.

Middle School
For full-time students in grades 6-8, ND CDE has an "A" honor roll for those maintaining an average of 94-100 percent and a "B" honor roll for those maintaining an average of 87-93 percent.

High School
For full-time students in grades 9-12, ND CDE has an "A" honor roll for those maintaining an average of 94-100 percent.
